Charlotte Bilney
Charlotte is a member of the executive committee responsible for managing our practice.
She provides fully integrated corporate communications programmes to multi-national clients, primarily in the financial and professional services sectors across Asia. Her regional clients have included Bank of America and Macquarie Bank.
Charlotte has handled M&A communications for Macquarie Bank and Bank of Bermuda; Asian market entry for New Star Asset Management, Forsyth Partners, CMC Markets and Primus Pacific private equity; global and regional rebranding projects; and numerous financial product launches for many of the world’s best known financial brands, including HSBC, Baring Asset Management, Calyon and Schroders.
Charlotte has developed a highly tailored media training workshop for Citigate and has trained hundreds of senior executives.
She holds a bachelor of arts honours degree in European languages from Durham University in the United Kingdom. In addition to English, Charlotte speaks French fluently, and has a varying command of Spanish, German and Putonghua.

Sukyi Yau
Sukyi was one of Hong Kong’s most influential and well-connected journalists before joining Citigate in 2003. Her knowledge of local politics and of finance has proven invaluable in helping clients shape their communication strategies.
These clients include Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang (election campaigns in 2005 and 2007), Hopewell Holdings, the New World group, the Airport Authority Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Housing Authority, ICBC and many companies launching initial public offerings in Hong Kong.
Sukyi worked for 11 years at Ming Pao, the respected mass-circulation Hong Kong daily newspaper, where she was chief finance reporter and specialised in banking, regulatory and government news. She received numerous awards as a journalist and interviewed hundreds of top political and business leaders in Hong Kong and around the region.
Sukyi has brought her extensive experience to bear in media training to advise clients on their interactions with journalists.
Sukyi is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she studied journalism and communications.

Jasmine Yap
Jasmine advises corporate and transaction clients on public relations and financial media strategy, drawing on her experience as a former Bloomberg journalist, financial analyst and foreign exchange and bond trader.
Among her clients are 3i, Hutchison Telecom, APREA, New Star Asset Management, Mirae Asset, SABMiller and Macquarie Global Property Advisors. She advised K. Wah Construction Materials on its acquisition of Galaxy Casino of Macau and Hutchison Telecom on its buyout of Hutchison Global Communications.
Prior to joining Citigate, Jasmine covered the property, utilities, retail and tourism sectors for Bloomberg in Hong Kong and was also a reporter for BridgeNews in Singapore. She has also worked as a financial analyst for MCM Asia Pacific and as a trader in foreign exchange and equity index futures for OCBC Banking Group.
Jasmine studied economics at the National University of Malaysia and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Malay.
